Our Adult Faith Formation offerings are rooted in the Church’s call to ongoing conversion and discipleship. Whether you're exploring the Catholic faith for the first time or seeking to deepen your relationship with Christ, we invite you to grow with us.
OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Adults seeking Baptism or full communion with the Catholic Church enter the process known as the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). This program, year-long or longer, covers the basics of Catholicism from doctrine to practice, including the Creed, sacraments, moral life in Christ, and prayer. Emphasis is given to building a long-lasting relationship with our Lord through liturgical celebrations. RCIA meets Tuesdays at 7 PM starting in September.
If you are not Catholic but have been baptized Christian, the preparation is offered through RCIA, or a special program set up by the individual priest.
For more information, please contact Deacon Dave Van Tuyl at 907-646-3002, or deacondave@hfocak.org
In addition to OCIA, we offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year to support adult Catholics in their spiritual growth and community life. These include:
